In Sag Harbor’s coveted Azurest community, 78 Walker Avenue is a study in how considered design can transform a modest footprint into something distinctly expansive. With water views toward Sag Harbor Bay, access to a private beach and mooring rights, and downtown Sag Harbor just a short walk away, the setting is inherently exceptional. But for Devcora, the significance of the residence goes deeper than its location. The architecture is deliberately refined, drawing from the visual language of the East End while introducing a contemporary sensibility. Steep gables, standing-seam metal, and expansive black-framed windows give the exterior a timeless coastal character, while the interiors showcase quiet sophistication. White-oak floors, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and a sculptural floating staircase create warmth and volume throughout the three-level residence. At the heart of the main living level, white-oak cabinetry and integrated appliances frame a dramatic Breccia Calacatta marble island, while carefully selected finishes carry the same understated elegance throughout. The result is a home where luxury is expressed through proportion, materiality, and craftsmanship rather than excess.
